The two-graph model

This is the idea that makes Iontos different from both a generic graph database and a one-off data project. There are two graphs, and you see them as one.

The shared graph

Iontos builds and maintains a shared knowledge graph centrally, from public sources — company registries, global identifiers, open reference data, and the web. It is the same authoritative, multi-source picture for every customer: build it once, well, and everyone benefits.

You read the shared graph. You never have to assemble or maintain it.

Your overlay

On top of that, each customer has a private overlay — a layer built from your own sources, running through the very same pipeline. Your private entities, and your private facts about shared entities, live here.

The overlay is yours alone. It is never visible to other customers, and it never flows back into the shared graph.

One view, resolved across both

When an analyst opens the app or a system calls the API, the query spans both graphs and returns one merged answer: public consensus plus your private knowledge. Resolution runs across the boundary, so a private entity of yours can be recognized as the same real-world thing as an entity in the shared graph — and your private facts attach to it — without your data ever being exposed to anyone else.
