Trust & data sovereignty

A knowledge platform is only useful if you can trust what it tells you and trust where your data lives. Both are design assumptions in Iontos, not features added later.

European data sovereignty​

Iontos is built and operated in Europe. Data sovereignty is the starting point: your data is processed and stored under European jurisdiction, not routed through infrastructure you can't account for. For organizations in regulated industries, this is a precondition — so we treat it as one.

Your private data stays private​

The two-graph model draws a hard line between the shared, public-source graph and your private overlay:

  • Your overlay is visible only to you.
  • It is never exposed to other customers.
  • It never flows back into the shared graph.

Private data benefits from being connected to the public picture, but the connection is one-way: the shared graph informs your view, your data never leaks out of it.

Every fact is defensible​

Each fact in the graph stays linked to the source it was drawn from. You can always trace an answer back to its origin — which is what turns a confident claim into a defensible one. In compliance, due-diligence, and risk work, that traceability is the difference between an answer you can act on and one you can't.

Privacy by design​

Personal data is handled deliberately. The platform is built to recognize and treat sensitive information appropriately throughout the pipeline, in line with European data-protection expectations — not as a setting you have to remember to turn on.

Access is controlled by capability​

Access in Iontos is governed by what a user is permitted to do, not by a job title. Permissions are explicit and checked at every step, and every customer's data is scoped so that one tenant can never reach another's. Credentials and sensitive configuration are encrypted.

The short version: your data lives in Europe, stays yours, and every fact the platform shows you can be traced back to where it came from.
